Christie joined HMS in 2010 to as an editor, and since become a formidable producer as well (in our business we call them “Preditors”). Christie began her tenure creating press packages and social media videos for such Broadway shows and tours as The SpongeBob Musical, The Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera, Motown: The Musical, Miss Saigon, Hair, Billy Elliot, The Last Ship and many others.

Christie has also brought considerable technical chops to HMS’ live multicam productions. If you’ve seen HMS’s team providing multi-cam IMAG images in such venues as Lyric Opera of Chicago and Millennium Park, you’ve seen her cool-under-pressure handiwork.

Over the years, Christie’s prowess as an accomplished producer and editor led her into HMS’ broadcast world, beginning with HMS’ Emmy-nominated broadcast documentary Our City, Our Shakespeare, commercials and now on spectacular display with the national PBS special Lookingglass Alice, also being streamed to students around the world via Digital Theatre Plus.

Christie has also produced a number of short-form documentary and promotional pieces for such organizations as Broadway in Chicago, Lookingglass Theatre Company, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Court Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre and The House Theatre of Chicago.

Christie is a graduate of the School of Communications at Illinois State University where she studied TV Production and Cinema Studies. She and her husband Chris reside in the western suburbs with their two sons.
